
	News The choir are grateful to Grass Roots Funding for a substantial grant to help equip choir members with new stage costumes, more music and assistance with coach hire costs. New members would be made very welcome at our regular Monday evening rehearsals, 7.15pm, in the Synthonia Club, Belasis Avenue, Billingham. Bookings are now coming in for concerts throughout 2010. Our present accompanist, Dr. Gordon Angus, is due to retire in July 2010. Anyone who may be interested in joining the choir as accompanist should contact the Musical Director, Margaret Pringle, Tel: 01642 363502, in the first instance for more information. This is an interesting position and carries an honorarium. New members are always welcome. Gentlemen interested in singing, particularly basses, are encouraged to come along now to help keep a balanced sound and to ensure that the choir can continue to perform. They MAY be coming over to present a concert on Teesside with Billingham Choral Society and would welcome the opportunity to participate in other concerts in the North-East. They perform regularly at SEA WORLD - get well remunerated and can, therefore, fund their own travel expenses.
