WelcomeThank you for visiting our website - we hope you will find it interesting. The choir was formed in 1928 by workers of the Synthetic Ammonia plant (hence the name SYNTHONIA) at the ICI works in Billingham and has flourished ever since. Synthonia Male Voice Choir is one of the oldest male choirs in the area. 2008 will mark the 80th Anniversary and we hope to present a Celebration Concert locally. Our repertoire includes a variety of musical styles, traditional, modern and music from the shows - always popular with audiences. The choir always welcomes new members - just come along on a Monday evening at 7.15pm (September to July) to the Synthonia Club in Belasis Avenue, Billingham to find out more about it all or contact our Musical Director MARGARET PRINGLE - Telephone 01642 363502 Margaret has worked with choirs since the age of 17 and has been Musical Director with Synthonia since 1995. She also conducts BILLINGHAM CHORAL SOCIETY - visit www.billinghamchoralsociety.org.uk for further information regarding this mixed voice choir. She enjoys introducing new items into our repertoire and adds a touch of humour to concerts with her monologues. To book the choir for your event, please contact our Concert Secretary Bob - Telephone 01740 630548 If you would like to listen to our Signature Tune click on the link below to open another page. This may take a short time to load if you are using a dial up connection. Please be patient - it's worth the wait.
